The Inn Co., doing business as The Inn ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you apply for or use The Inn, our private, invite-only community for creators.


1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of information:

  • Account & Application Information: Name, email, social handles, and other details provided during application and onboarding.
  • Membership Eligibility Data: Information you submit that helps us evaluate your application.
  • Payment Information: Managed securely by our Merchant of Record and payment processor, Paddle. We do not store full payment card details.
  • Usage Data: Analytics on how you use the app, including interactions, features accessed, and engagement, to improve functionality and ensure community integrity.
  • Technical Data: Device information, IP address, cookies, and similar technologies for functionality, security, and better user experience.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Evaluate membership eligibility.
  • Provide and improve The Inn's functionality.
  • Authenticate connected accounts (e.g., Instagram).
  • Ensure compliance with community rules.
  • Generate anonymized or aggregated insights (never identifying individual members).

We do not use your information for advertising, external marketing, or selling to third parties.


3. Sharing of Information

We do not share your personal information with third parties except:

  • Service Providers: Limited sharing with Paddle (payment) and technical providers needed to operate the platform.
  • Legal Requirements: If required by law or valid legal process.
  • Anonymized Data: Aggregated data that does not identify you individually may be shared for community insights and product improvements.

4. Cookies & Tracking

We may use cookies and similar tracking tools to maintain functionality, enhance the user experience, and measure platform performance. You may disable cookies in your browser, though some features may not work properly.


5. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as GDPR (Europe) or CCPA (California), including to:

  • Request access to the information we hold about you.
  • Request correction or deletion of your information.
  • Request that we limit or restrict certain processing.
  • Opt out of certain analytics or data uses.

We implement reasonable industry practices to protect your information, including encryption and periodic security reviews. However, no system is fully secure, and you use The Inn at your own risk.


7. Children's Privacy

The Inn is available only to individuals 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from individuals under 18. If we discover a user has misrepresented their age, their account will be terminated, and they assume all resulting liability.


8. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as you have an active account or application with The Inn. We may retain certain records as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.


9. International Users

If you access The Inn from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and stored in the U.S. By using The Inn, you consent to this transfer.


10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date will reflect changes. It is your responsibility to review the Privacy Policy periodically. Continued use of The Inn after changes constitutes acceptance.
